CYP-C / CCJC
The Cancer in Young People in Canada/ Cancer Chez les Jeunes au Canada program (CYP-C / CCJC) is a collaborative effort between the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and the C17 Council at the 16 pediatric hematology and oncology programs (17 sites) across Canada. The purpose of CYP-C / CCJC is to contribute to the control of cancer in children and adolescents in Canada by collaborating in the collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of Canadian population based surveillance data.
The main initiative of CYP-C / CCJC is the Treatment and Outcomes Surveillance (TOS) study. This is a population-based study carried out at the 16 Canadian pediatric hematology/oncology centres. It collects data on diagnostic, treatment and short-term (5 year) outcome of children and adolescents diagnosed in Canada before the age of 20.
