New draft C¹⁷ Guideline released by the Standards & Guidelines Committee
A draft of the “Guideline for Platelet Transfusion Thresholds for Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology Patients” has been released by the C¹⁷ Standards & Guidelines Committee. If you want to review the guideline and provide feedback, please contact one of the chairs of the committee.

C¹⁷ Education Videoconference
The next C¹⁷ Education videoconference will be broadcast on January 27, 2010 from 2:30 – 3:30 EST (11:30 PST, 12:30 MST, 1:30 CST, 3:30 AST and 4:00 N/L). Recipients of the Norma Auger Scholarship will present their poster presentations and information from the educational events that they attended.

C¹⁷ Research Network grant competition
Grants and LOIs for the November 2009 C¹⁷ Research Network Round 11 competition will be reviewed in January 2010. Once the committee has made their decisions, grant recipients will be notified in late January or early February. Funds will be released once an agreement is signed. The next deadline for Letters of Intent and accepted grants will be May 1, 2010.
